I know from certain union officials and even some of the organizers that 90% of your pilots didn't vote. Furthermore skywest doesn't have industry leading anything. I have friends there and don't have any real problems with the company itself but don't you find it a little convientent that the company only increases pay of benefits after another...(union) carrier fights for something in their contract. It you have such great labor relations then maybe they'd be giving you all a bigger share of the pie. Perhaps if the pilot group could see what they could negotiate in a fair contract then more would be willing to jump on board.
As far as I'm concerned management there takes on a "me too" attitude. Unless another company offers it they see no reason to either...and from what I've seen and read employees nod and smile.
