Once again though this was not about those jets per se. It was about a difference of opinion on the ROAR article, and what I agreed with.
The company is always pushing, or at least NWA did. Our job is to elect Reps who don't pee down their leg every time management tries to push. Ditto the negotiators the Reps elect. It's been said before, but I agree the cooperative engagement honeymoon is soon going to be over, and we need to be prepared to fight for anything we want, including simple enforcement of the contract.
Diplomacy is only credible with the unspoken backdrop of force, and the actual willingness to use it. FWIW, I don't see any reason for concern at the moment.
Of course management is going to
try - they wouldn't be doing their job if the didn't. And we are just going to say no. Period.
