I recommend the David Clark H10-13.4 headset. I've had mine since I was a student pilot, over ten years ago, and it still works great. Comfortable boom mic and head pad. They will last you forever.

If fact, awhile ago, while getting ready to take off out of SFO, my beloved Sennheiser died and I had to get my David Clark's out of retirement.

They worked great and now I just keep them in my locker at work in case they die again.
