Really??? Well, maybe. But so as to not throw too many rocks, but it is that whole airspace that is an abortion. For example: Why not allow the NAT bound aircraft that can takeoff on 31R do so, and instead of doing a 270 degree turn about the ARP, turn right climb to 5000 feet, accelerate to 320 and go buster for the entry point? Oh, it's because LGA rules the whole airspace,
and we are holding to some antiquated speed limit that Europe got rid of years ago. As long as the NY airspace remains the way it is, these people might be what some perceive as good, but I think they can do better.
