Try and finish your degree quicker, then apply for an OTS slot or comparable program to get you to the officer ranks....can't be a pilot without becoming an officer first (at least in the air force). Start talking to your supervisor about the transition programs, and get that degree completed. You can't do any Air Force piloting without those two things. I would curtail your flying on the side to take a few more classes. I am a UPT instructor and most of the kids make it through without any outside flying...none without a degree or butter bars! It might be more difficult to do the reserve C-17 thing if there are already LMs in the squadron who are trying to do the same thing...my guess is that they would have a leg up already paying there dues in the squadron....Good Luck!
