I don't see what you're talking about. They have an education requirement "check mark" on the compare my app page. I don't see anything about it being a bachelors degree. This is taken straight from airline apps today.

American Eagle’s qualifications are as follows:

Commercial Pilots Certification with multi-engine and instrument ratings
Total Fixed wing of 1000 hours preferred
Multi-engine fixed wing time of 200 hours preferred
A current flying job (12 month experience)
Current FAA First Class Medical
IFR Currency
FCC License
Possess the ability to work in the US
Possess the ability to travel in and out of the US to all cities/countries served by
American Eagle
Ability to relocate
Ability to work weekends, nights, shifts, holidays, and overnight trips
Minimum age 21
* Flight time requirements are commensurate with experience

The following preferred requirements are common amongst Eagle’s most successful applicants:
Actual instrument time to be 10% of total time
Six months experience with a Part 121 or Part 135 operation
ATP Certificate or successful completion of valid ATP written test
Hours flown in most recent 12 months to exceed 100 hours
Fixed wing multi-engine turboprop experience
College Degree
