Wife, kids, grad school - basically I never thought I could afford to go to the regionals. Actually, I did leave the industry for over two years, and would have had nine years in the industry. I'm just tired of being in management. I want to fly. The money in management isn't that great, and it's worthless if I never get to do anything I like to do and don't have enough money to fly anyway.
I have the flying bug, but only get to fly when someone needs an instructor checkout or a remedial stage check. I work on the business side, and I am tired of it. If I go to the airlines now, I can finish my master's degree while earning turbine time. When I am done with my master's, I can be an Aviation Safety consultant or stay on as a pilot...
