A union is only as strong as it's members. If the pilots vote out scope for money, we have no one to blame but ourselves. Maybe if people actually read contracts and asked questions BEFORE they voted for them things might improve.
This is a good move. If someone doesn't vote, then it shouldn't count.
Agreed 100% on all points. In addition to people reading contracts before they vote, they should be involved in their own union well before the contract is even negotiated. If they stand strong during the vote, it is often like shutting the barn door after the horse has already run off.
