Just some friendly advice for cohesion. While a tough stance can be very motivating at times, there is always a place for empathy and understanding as well. I'm sure I risk being attacked for sounding like a woman, but it works in all environments, at home and at work.

South guys, maybe try and make the issues that concern north guys YOUR issues. If someone complains about an issue, don't give your thoughts if you can't help them. Try to come up with a plan to fix the issue. If you run into someone at the hotel compaining, take him/her to the bar and buy a round. Let'em vent some more. Pat them on the back and say job well done (EXCEPTIONALLY WELL done in my opinion!).

We are all taught to trust our gut instincts when something doesn't feel right. It's an entirely new language for Fnwa guys. Same old data, just different patterns. Make's that gut instinct twitch a lot these days! Bottom line, MAKE "OUR" PROBLEMS "YOUR" PROBLEMS! (yes, even old prickly union issues)

Fnwa guys - stop complaining. It is what it is. Keep it safe.
I think one of the biggest problems with "North" issues or "South" issues is once you start trying to fix one you open up a whole can of worms with both sides. There were "LOTS" of things that went into the joint current and both sides "won/lost" on various issues and working to fix some real or perceived inequity is not going to work without reopening ALL the issues. We are one pilot group with a joint contract and should work on what we are going to improve for everyone in the next contract. "Fixing" things for one group or the other just isn't going to work, IMHO.
