There were "LOTS" of things that went into the joint current and both sides "won/lost" on various issues and working to fix some real or perceived inequity is not going to work without reopening ALL the issues. Yeah, I probably could've left that one out. I wasn't trying to focus on "fixing" issues as it pertains to seperate pilot groups.
I just think the former north guys are tired of feeling like they get no love for bearing the brunt of the changes. And many valid concerns sometimes run into brick walls. I also think we confuse beaurocrasy with stubborness.
And it seems most former south guys are sick and tired of hearing guys complain about how horribly run their airline is. They, like former NWA pilots, have worked for many years dedicating and sacrificing much to make Delta great through tough times. Overall, I'm impressed and think it's going to be a great career. I'd be sick of hearing it too.
