No most professional careers require a degree plus you professional degree. Try getting into med school with ma and pa kettles back yard community college training. And the vet school deal that you mentioned, most schools offer a program that allows the student to work towards a specialized undergrad degree while fulfilling the pre-vet requirements, allowing the top achievers admittance before they received a BS. They do however receive a MS after completing coarse work, as a vet student, above and beyond their normal work, after their first year.
