AH, nope. They just keep piling on the laws. 1500 hrs, flight time and duty rigs, maybe commuting restrictions. Add to it that banks are not funding 200-300K student loans for this profession and they really are going to have a shortage. The barriers to entry are going up.
Wages at the regionals will have to go up to entice 135 pilots to jump on in which in turn will free up spots for low time pilots. If that does not happen, there will be a shortage.
Or we will have more 135 and corporate guys making the jump straight to major. Either way I think it's a step in the right direction for the profession.
