Should his application mention employment at ACA/IDE he's probably toast. I can't find any evidence of him ever being a line pilot or furloughee from ACA, and I've looked on 4 different seniority lists from 2004 and 2005.
I could see how a pilot might have tried to take advantage of the insolvancy of the company since it would have become more difficult to verify that one actually worked there. This would have been particularly true in 2006 when the company no longer had any employees doing PRIA paperwork for former ACA/IDE pilots.
It does tork me off that somebody would potentially use the misfortune of over 1600 pilots to their own personal benefit.
