I feel that when some of your information is clearly an exageration or speculation it ultimately discredits your other points. You have an important role here, but lately IMHO your credibility has been slipping
I don't have the benefit of having a staff of researchers to fill in all the details. Whenever I make I statement that I am unsure of I preference it with a statement declaring it an an assumption or estimate. The point I am making is the same even though the details might be less than perfectly accurate all the time.
Often it seems that readers wish to use these small inaccuracies as a way to discredit my points that are very accurate.
