You're not "hacking" the instrument rating? Come on dude, it's not different than off campus. You think an ERAU 172 shoots the back course 25R any different than another schools airplane? I sure hope the NDB at New Smyrna is operational... go do the NDB-A partial panel a few times just for whining.
By the way, ERAU has a phenomenal ability to over complicate EVERYTHING, which may be part of your "ill-preparation". I remember them giving students a checklist/flow for the 172 that had to be 20 pages, yet I can get everything pertinent for the F-18 on two 4x8 pages on my kneeboard.
