A few years ago I got a call on reserve in the middle of the night for a 6AM offline deadhead. I questioned the scheduler to be sure that I did in fact have a reservation, and he confirmed that I did.

When I got to the airport, I was really annoyed to find out that the airline that I supposedly had a reservation on had been out of business for a week.
