I don't have a dog in this hunt but I've just got to say WTF. UPS (and Fedex) make billions in profits each year. Those profits are based on getting a package from "A" to "B". No package - no profit. Pilot pay as a percentage of total operational cost is so miniscule as to be laughable. This is not so in pax airlines, because the infrastructure at the major package operators is so huge compared with pax, where you only take them from airport to airport. UPS pilots will win out in the end, there's no real incentive for management to push this one.
