I wouldn't. But if you must, discretion and courtesy are in order. Not ever cat-rancher needs a pilot, no matter how much they may want one. Don't be deterred by the raw hatred: it's merely an act. So, if this is what you want, go forth and conquer. Casually say "very niiice", and make a few kissing noises. Then simply ask "how much" once. If they're not interested, move along; do not insist.
