Improve pay for reserves, I can go for that but not a 7% pay raise that only goes to 20% of the pilots. As stated before a sliding scale 5 hrs below the alv (not less than 70) would give most everybody on reserve a pay raise right now and be restoration of what we once had. We all want the same thing, just how do we allot it.
Sadly I've started to find that the contract is like a game of jenga, you go in there and pull a block thinking it won't hurt anything and the whole thing topples down. Such as; "hey if you don't need that vacation then sell it and make some extra money..." and then people are furloughed.
Is there a downside to a sliding reserve pay? I'm tired and can't think of any off hand but if a sliding scale can be vetted and still works then I'm all for it.
