I think the mortality rate of our F/O's may eclipse that of senior captains in the next few years. As things contnue to stagnate and they rack up 1000's more hours of Brazilian or Canadian gear-handle time, many may begin to off themselves in various methods............some quite spectacular.



One F/O was rumored to proclaim he would do himself in in similar fashion as the Viet monks did back in the early sixties. Instead of immolation, he supposedly proclaimed his intention to urinate into one of the crewroom electrical outlets in full view of others as a protest to his lack of advancement.
