Nobody really minds a certain level of self confidence if it is definitively backed by results. Unfortunately that isn't the case here.

So let me get this straight - you are inferring from ACL's post that DAL pilots are supposed to be perfect? Because DAL has a good interview screening process we should never have a mishap?

Let me remind you of something that recently occurred: A NASA astronaut (one of the most highly screened individuals on the planet) sporting diapers drove hundreds of miles to ambush a would be romantic rival in a parking lot. I guess their standards are not high enough either?

I can totally appreciate your comment about backing up self confidence with results, and false pride may often be a precursor to troubles ahead, but has there ever been a screening process in history that precluded human error?
