I have this feeling that previous work experience and/or periods of unemployment may be quite the hinderance... example: I had a bunch of random summer jobs that I took during college to make money during break, and I couldn't remember a lot of of the info from those places because they only lasted about a month, I rarely saw my boss, etc... but I ended up putting them on the application anyway because it specifically stated "COMPLETE 10 year work history." Well then HR called me for W2's the week of my review board to verify that I was actually employed at a few of these places (which I have and got to them promptly)... but one of the W2's from company ABC, actually said I was being paid by company XYZ because I was hired through some temp agency. Whatever, I tried to explain this to the guy on the phone. I really thought nothing of it at the time, but now looking back, that may have hurt me. Friend of mine who also recently interviewed was given a pretty hard time during his HR portion about a few months of unemployment and some similar odd jobs at places that are now out of business.

So bottom line - I'd recommend not putting any jobs on the application that you worked at while in school/college. I know I won't be putting those on future applications. Just use the ones to show a lineage of work with no breaks of unemployment (if possible). Otherwise, have a good reason.

That's my 2 cents. Anyone disagree?
