The theory is that you move (advance was your word) into the right seat at DAL and then work your way up.

And yes, it is not always a no brainer, everyone's situation is different, but for most people it is the way to go. You specifically mention pay, QOL, and job satisfaction as a reason not to make the move - I think in the long run (for most people) these would not be a negative factor.

Im my opinion the biggest negative factor would be going from a senior position (left seat) to the bottom of the seniority list and the increased danger of the big "F."
