Actually, the only step backwards was the cut in pay. And since my I maintained my budget for FO pay it wasn't a really a pay cut. And I didn't advance to the right seat at Delta, I advanced to the right seat at Northwest. I was a reserve RJ CA based in EWR so my job satisfaction and quality of life increased tremendously. My work rules improved, my schedule improved, I fly much less for much more money, and my overall career earnings will be much higher.
Once again, you seem to have a real problem with mainline pilots. It's a shame because you either had a bad experience or you are extremely insecure with your decision to stay at ASA. I hope everything works out for all of us. I never said everybody wanted my job. I don't want a job at Southwest, Continental, or Airtran, but I don't think the people that work there are arrogant or condescending. All I said is that if you want career advancement then staying at ASA is a bad decision, and that holds true for any regional.
Good Luck to all of us..................Cheers
