Wow, I've been gone a few days and am trying to catch up. Just wanted to add a couple of things to the conversations on here.

1. Re: Saudi MD90s

Flew with the lead 88 check airman and was told that because of the MD11-style cockpits, the FAA would only approve the Saudi MD90s as a completely separate category. So those planes are still up in the air as the company tries to figure out if that's feasible to do or not.

2. Re: SC

How about a system where you bid either a LC or SC line for the entire month. LC would be still be 18 days but SC would be 14 days (that way you'd get extra "credit" for sitting SC).

I'm a commuter and while I have no problem sitting SC (I don't like it but it's part of my job), what I don't like is not knowing when or how often I have to sit it. At least this way, I'd have some way of knowing what my month will look like.
