Agreed. They shot their multimillion dollar public funding wad half a decade ago. There wonīt be another for many years to come.

Thatīs because they were too overconfident and didnīt do their homework.
As it is, there is still a little too much capacity in the system. If airlines canīt raise ticket prices because of the competition, then this tells me there are too many competitors on the playing field. The government should let nature takes itīs course and weed out the weakest players before becoming involved again in bailing out a major corporation.
