Was told by a LCA that at their last meeting it was mentioned that the decision to not furlough was a good one because the pilots they would have furloughed are very much needed now (and this summer). Yes, pretty obvious now, but it was a segue to the topic of new hiring, and while the decision has yet to be formally made, all indications are hiring will take place to get new pilots ready for flying for next summer. My sense was from this LCA was that meant something by the end of summer, but that's just my take on it.
Correct. The meeting was on the 12th and RA said a decision to hire or not would be made within 3-4 weeks. Sounded to me like they would need bodies for next summers flying
