Good on the rampers for shooting it down! Glad they can stand up for themselves a bit.
Of course they don't have the same individual influence on the company, but as a whole I'm sure their argument can be fairly effective.
I do believe that those of us who service the aircraft from the ground (especially out-station agents) are not compensated well enough for the job and responsibility they hold. Just like pilots are definitely not compensated well enough for their jobs. Of course both are on a completely different scale, but I believe a simmilar concept applies.
Granted, with the pay thats offered, it seems anyone with a pulse can get hired. I think a lot of ground delays and cust processing delays could be avoided if the job attracted more savvy individuals. One agent the other day has been working here for a month, and had to stop an aircraft on the taxy way because they didn't know how to marshall it in...
I hope everything works out for them.
