Wrong. The "incensed" feeling is that they should have been merged into the DAL list when NW came on board with the joint contract/list. It was an opportunity to help recapture lost 70+ seat flying that was missed. The flow up/back worked in this last downturn because it was yet another financial "penalty" for DAL, Inc. to furlough pilots. The layered approach to the idea of furlough protection worked well and DAL survived the worst economic downturn since the Great Depression without furloughing a single pilot.
Secondly, selling Compass does NOT terminate the flow program, it can only be canceled with the agreement of DAL Inc. , Compass Airlines, Delta ALPA, and Compass ALPA. There is a successorship clause in the agreement that keeps it in place in the event of a sale or transfer.
The only unilateral action that can eliminate the flow is the shutting down of Compass and the surrendering of its operating certificate.
