I have 2500+ hrs with 1000+ hrs of CRJ 700 time, an internal recommendation and I went to the job fair last November in New York and had face to face time with AE there. I think you'll have a better answer if you ask the person that wrote the letter of recommendation for you. Ask that person for an update how your application is looking, he/she may have a better chance of getting a reply from hr.
