I have the misfortune of having two failed airlines on my resume. One failed while I was working for them, so I was able to prep and get letters and records verifying my employment, but the other failed after I had already left and I have essentially nothing from them. There is now no trace of them left from what I can tell. How would a prospective employer handle this? More over, how do the 10 year background checks work with such a situation?

Ask around among other former employees ...there is supposed to be a court-directed records custodian for those situations.
