Yes it sucks to see any base downsized, and hopefully ATL will stabilize and grow along with all the other DAL bases, but ATL guys are not going to get a lot of sympathy from guys from:
DFW
MCO
CVG
PDX
LAX
I think DAL finally realizes that if they want to be a true international powerhouse they need to build up the west coast. ATL was the big fish in a small pond, so to speak, but if we are going to compete with the combined UAL/CAL powerhouse (if it goes through) we need to competitive everywhere - not just the southeast.
