As jetmech1 says. It's all about the LEAN principles. Do a value stream map of the task required (C check) for example. Look at the the value added (VA) and non-value added (NVA) activity and then improve your work processes to reduce the NVA as much as possible. Great strides have been taken in both base and line MX in the US. There is no reduction in the quality of mx performed.
