In this business you either need to sh!t or get off the pot. If you wait around for things that might happen maybe sometime in the not too distant future if this that and the other take place then you will never end up doing much of anything. The best thing to do is make the best decision you can with the information you have. When I say information I mean facts. Do your best to base your decision on things you can verify, not conjecture, rumors or hearsay. Things change so rapidly in this industry that it is impossible to look more than 6mos or a year into the future and predict who's gonna be doing what with whom. Comair, ASA and ACA are great examples of how quickly things can change in this business. So I guess to answer your question about what will happen to the regionals that feed US Airways and Delta IF a merger were to go through: no one knows. Not even the CEOs of the companies involved.
