What airline? Just because the schedules are bad does not mean they are efficient for the company...if they have typical regional clown managers building the scheds they probably suck for the company as much as for the pilots.
But I hope you have some work rules...somebody who knows what they are doing could REALLY optimize things in the company's favor if they are not constrained too much by work rules. Long sits, long overnights, flup-flops, low credit days, FAR-minimum days off...the possibilities are endless.
