"Our schedules are so bad right now, I can't imagine why they would outsource this service."...

The above is a big problem when organizations try to improve. Many, many people fear change, and automatically assume that the change will be severely negative for them.

It does help to try and logically analyze things, because it is so easy to let emotions rule, and fear ANY change.

In this example, "Our schedules are so bad..." if they are THAT bad, does it not make sense to try and change they system?
If they are "...so bad...", do you THINK that a change will be worse.

If I was in that situation, I would welcome the change, as having bad schedules is, well, bad. If the system is changed, there is more room for positive movement, than negative.

If the system was "good", then I WOULD question the need for a change.

PS-I tried really hard to get hired by AWAC. I was hoping to eventually get the Bae-146 based in ATW. Not very likely, at this point!!!
