Sounds like that was the case here.
I think crew skeds did it correctly.
This GS touched 2 X days. That entitled him to 48 hours of payback.
Following the 9 hours of rest, if there was only 36 hours until his next group of scheduled X days, then the remaining 12 hours of payback should be tacked onto the end of that group of X days. (thus the "partial" payback day phenomenon)

That makes sense because the pattern ended today with a DH. The pattern ended just before 1000. Tomorrow was reserve, and then X days Monday-Thursday. The partial day goes until 1855 Friday, so the math seems to make sense to me. I guess short of giving me a rotation that has a show time after 1855 Friday I don't think there is a whole lot they'll do to me. A 1900-0700 SC on the 320 is something I think I'll see IMO.
