Example: Check in for HNL-LAX-SAN and do not get on, but you get on a back-up flight one hour later HNL-SEA-SAN, would your checked bag be sent ahead to SAN?

Thanks - Scoop

Your bag goes no matter what. I had this happen a bit back trying to get to LAX. I went thru DTW & LAS to get there, my bag went via JFK (my original route). I had a phone call about my bag in LAX by the time I got to LAS.
