I would highly frown upon Trans States for several reasons. Number one there is very little in the way of movement which means no upgrade to CA for at least 4, maybe more like 6 years. Number two Hulas Kanodia owns Trans States and he would jump over or better yet kick his dying mother out of the way for a dime. That means no respect for the pilots which equates to poor work rules, poor pay, and little room for a happy work environment. Anyone who frequents this board and worked for Trans States can attest to the misery that they went throught during their employment with the POS company. Number three, for a while they where hiring people for Trans States, then calling and saying sorry, no class for us, but we can fit you into GoJet right away. Please do not ever go fly for GoJet, they are also owned by HK and thats another story you can search on this board. There is also not a lot in the way of domiciles, you have Richmond, and St. Louis. That doesn't bode well for commuting. I grew up in St. Louis and still live in the area, and after extensive research refused to even submit my resume to them. I just continued to flight instruct until something better came along. The only reason I would say go to Trans States is if you intend to use them for some experience, and then move on somewhere else. Of course don't tell them this is your intention. I don't know much about Pinnacle, other than they don't have great work rules, and you get abused a lot by the company. Perhaps someone who works their can attest to this. I do know that you domiciles are Detroit, or Memphis and maybe Minneapolis and all that means to me is way too cold and way too much snow. I would recommend someone else like one of the Republic companies, or maybe ExpressJet. Hope this helps.
