How long do you have to hold reserve in RIC? Is upgrade time about 3 years or is it more now days?

How likely am I to find my self choosing TSA, showing up for class and be told to go join GoJets because TSA's class is canceled?



Captain upgrades right now were hired in Dec 03, so just under 3 year upgrade. The chief pilot talked to the nov class on friday, and said they're hoping to have classes every month next year, somewhere between 10 and 20 every month. So if you take the TSA job, you won't be at the bottom of the list forever. Especially when you consider they're are only somewhere between 250 or 300 FO's.

They're also saying two or three months in RIC before coming back to STL. In the grand scheme of things, thats not too long.
