It is a shame to see so much misinformation and so many postings with false or inaccurate information.

If everyone on this site is so smart, why didn't someone just pick up the phone and call Vision Airlines to inquire as to what their position was with respect to flying for Spirit. What seems to be lost in all of this is the passenger is still going to travel. So, while a strike is the last resort you can rest assured that Delta and a few other carriers are licking their chops at the idea of Spirit's pilots going on strike.

It appears to me that the big winners out of a Spirit strike would be Delta, JetBlue, Southwest and American. The long-term losers would obviously be Spirit employees and ultimately the consumer because I think it is a safe assumption fares would increase.

Either way....please get your facts straight before you spend time smearing and threatening other airlines. If the Union leadership of Spirit is this misinformed, God help the pilots.
In all fairness, I think the title of this thread is misleading. It insinuates that Vision Pilots are planning to fly the struck flying, not sure if that was intentional or not.

I think we all should face the facts, there will, and always have been, scabs who cross a picket line. Some of those pilots may be Spirits pilots, some may be from a contracted carrier taking over during the strike, and some may come from other carriers increasing service.

In the end of the day, it is not an organizational decision to cross a picket line, it is a personal decision each pilot makes for him or herself. I think it's important to not quantify any one organization as a group of scabs because I think in each organization there will be those who are inwardly selfish and there are others who stand on their moral, integrity, and self respect.

The important thing is to not misidentify an individual pilot with the wrong group, and beginning to assume which groups will fly struck work is the first step in making those lame-duck assumptions. I think we all know what they say about people who assume.
