U.S. National Debt Clock : Real Time
The info here can be a bit overwhelming, but I have been tracking the "Debt per Taxpayer" for the last week. It goes up about $40/day. It will be around $126,000 by the end of the year, and the big bills from the current legislation don't come due until 2017. By then, each of us will be shouldering a quarter miliion dollars of US debt. How high will our taxes have to be to pay that off?
