Just to reassure your "entitlement" mentality, in every new hire class they put bodies where they're needed at that time, including changes due to training load, sim schedules/failures. There hasn't been a case in the 3 hiring cycles that I've been here that bodies were put where they ultimately were needed coming out of class. Even if you got in the first class, there would be people behind you put where you want to be... and then there will be bids and displacements that will change that for better and worse.
I never understand this entitlement attack non-sense. The contract has clear verbage on this subject so if it is in the contract wouldn't one assume that you are entitled to it? Compass is a different animal then other DCI carriers and has been from day one. Our flow thru with NWA had a clear advantage over other carriers with regards to hiring, etc. I was told along with many of the senior guys at Compass that the only way to ever get to NWA was to go to compass. Funny thing happend 2 month's later, NWA opened up their application window and hired 150 pilots. Now i am sitting at compass while some of my buddies who wanted to go to Compass but were not as fortunate to get the early on interviews sit back and instead apply and get hired at NWA....Hey that is how the cookie crumbles, i understand that.

Now i have been at compass for 3 years with the constant threat of a flow back which Delta pilots are "entitled" to because it is in your contract. All i am asking for is what is in my contract and your contract to be honered, nothing more, nothing less.

My beef is not with the Delta group (sounds like a great and cohesive group) but with Compass Management. I understand having to hold back management pilots, and check airman. To hold back all eligible compass pilots is a joke. We received a letter to this effect the other day. It does not benefit anyone at compass present or future and makes a training mess for Delta all to benifit compass management. Over a month has gone by since official word has come down on hiring. Compass management still has not picked new check airman or upgraded pilots. If they had a year to hold back pilots i have a feeling they would take the whole year to ramp up. All for a operation of 400 pilots????
