That's what I was told when I was trying to j/s on Delta once. I was in jr. high when the CAL strike was happening. I happened to get hired there many, many years later and the captain says, "I don't carry scabs on my jumpseat."
"Uh, sir, I am not a scab."
"You decided to go to work for that scab operation Continental. THAT makes you a scab for life."
He at least let me ride in the cabin since there was a seat, but if there wasn't I was told I wouldn't be going along in the cockpit.
