It's obvious that you don't understand "At Will Employment." There is NO CONTRACT, PERIOD. Management is able to change our work rules and pay as they wish. This is one of many reasons why SKW will go union. If we accept the current proposal and go union then our current pay does not become a contract because there is "NO" contract. No, what happens is that the current work rules and pay are recognized under the RLA and any changes to them can be seen as illegal. The RLA prevents companies from penalizing a labor group by changing pay or work rules as a punishment for voting in a union.

Just ask Allegiant. They voted in a union and management punished them by changing pay and quality of life. The union filed a lawsuit under the RLA and won back pay for the labor group.

WE HAVE NO CONTRACT AT SKW AND THE CURRENT PAY PROPOSAL IS NOT A CONTRACT!!!!!

Because we have no contract, there is no restriction on when we can start negotiating our FIRST CONTRACT.
