Before LOA 22, if you were on
long call going into golden/vac/MIL/ALPA days, you were automatically released at noon on your last day. Otherwise, you could call to get released.
However, they could put you on
short call on the last day, from, say, 0530 to 1730.
What LOA 22 did is that if you are going into golden/vac/MIL/ALPA days and they put you on
short call on the last day, you will be automatically released at noon. So using the above scenario, your SC would run from 0530 to 1200. Keep in mind that this does not prevent them from giving you something during that period that gets you back after 1200.
