ACL nailed it. You really don't ever HAVE to answer your phone, and you only have to do the 1500 check coming off a day off. Plus, 1500 is the EARLIEST you have to check it. Although if they assign you a trip in the morning and you haven't checked it by 1500 it's likely they will give you a courtesy call just to make sure you know it's on there.
