By not making an announcement they can get by without offering those in the NWA pool an interview that don't meet DALs requirements and not risk a lawsuit.
I actually think it would be a travesty if Delta does not treat all the former poolies exactly the same. What ever they do for one they should do for all. That would be the only right thing to do.
