I'm a runner, and they jacked up my EKG as well. Got the leads backwards at first, didn't hook it up right, asked me if I'd ever had a heart attack (I was 25 at the time!), then said I needed to go see a specialist.
The specialist took one look at my EKG and said "there's nothing wrong with this- it looks like the leads were placed slightly off but that just shifts the picture... this is perfectly normal."
Derp derp derp...
There was a candidate and friend of mine in a class not long after yours that went to have his blood drawn at said institution of higher medicine. They missed the vein or whatever they're after. Tried again. Again. Again. Again. Again. Other arm. Again. Again. Try stabbing him and then moving the needle untl you hit the vein. Uh oh, he passed out. Well there must be something wrong with him, tell Delta he's a no go.
That got corrected pretty quick with a call from his doctor, who was outraged. I'd have to get more specifics on the story but thats how it was explained to me.
Now that said, my experience was straight forward (a few months later) minus my high Delta fever of course.
