There was a candidate and friend of mine in a class not long after yours that went to have his blood drawn at said institution of higher medicine. They missed the vein or whatever they're after. Tried again. Again. Again. Again. Again. Other arm. Again. Again. Try stabbing him and then moving the needle untl you hit the vein. Uh oh, he passed out. Well there must be something wrong with him, tell Delta he's a no go.
That got corrected pretty quick with a call from his doctor, who was outraged. I'd have to get more specifics on the story but thats how it was explained to me.
Now that said, my experience was straight forward (a few months later) minus my high Delta fever of course.
I believe that happened the day after me. Did he end up getting the job? What a travesty if not.
She did the same with me and luckily I have a really high tolerance for that. I've never seen anyone actually try to dig around in my skin. I've got very easy to hit veins too... just clench a bit and you can see them no prob.
"Hey um..instead of digging around in there, would you mind going after the big blue one right there that's bulging out?"
